Blessed
I feel truly blessed to have a BF that is as talented, passionate, and driven in his career as I am. Ive been cooking professionally for literally half of my life (15 years) and have met and worked with a lot of bakers and pastry chefs. Most of them in Michelin 1, 2, & 3 star kitchens. I can honestly say that the work that he does is some of the best Ive seen. Technically sound, very creative, classics to modern breads and pastries.
Ive never been in a relationship with anyone that has had a solid career path and goals and who is such a talented person in his own right. Every time he gets press in magazines, newspapers, or blogs I feel so proud to be a part of his life.
We’re coming up on being together for one year and Ive never been happier. My last relationship was 5 1/2 years. He wasn’t exactly “goal oriented.” And being at the top of my game, I got a lot of press in SF, which made for a lot of animosity. Coming back to RVA last year, with so many plans and such hard work ahead, I never imagined Id have someone so great to share it with.
As I begin the grueling work of building my very first restaurant, knowing I have someone so special to share these experiences with makes me happier than I have ever felt.
